I’m only kidding
He shook his head and smiled, lifting it to capture her eyes with his. There was a spark…or something Jeremy couldn’t describe. Before he had the chance to, a bell rang and Jeremy’s eyes linked onto Lou, to where the sound had come from. ‘Closing time’ he thought to himself…that’s unfortunate. ”Ya, i’m here a few more nights…” He watched her and he could feel himself fill up with excitement watching her write out her number. He took the piece of paper and carefully placed it in his jacket pocket. “Oh I probably will be…or you could even meet the crew before we do a show? See us outside our characters.” He laughed while eyeing his pink-tipped hair.
“It has been a great pleasure, Sarah Williams.” He took hold of her hand and kissed it before letting it go and backing away. He gave Lou a wave, “Thank you for the drinks Lou!” He turned around and left the Old Paisley, taking in the chilly cold night air. He gripped his jacket tight around him as he strutted down the streets of London and thought about the lovely and unpredictable encounter with the lovely Sarah. After a few blocks he took out his phone and dialed a number and it rang a few times before the person on the other side picked up. He spoke in a foolishly deep voice, sounding like an old fashioned magical king of sorts, “Hello Sarah…”
Closing down the pub was simple. Lou kept a clean ship, and generally she just sorted tips for him and helped put up the chairs. The old bar owner walked her safely to her complex and gave her a hug before leaving. “You keep yourself outta trouble Miss Sarah.” He winked as he left. “I liked the gent by the way.” He shouted over his shoulder. She couldn’t help but blush.
Clambering into the elevator, she checked her phone. Six missed calls and three text messages. Jareth. The girl rolled her eyes. The elevator door dinged and she walked out, seeing the bars on her phone rise, she was in mid text to the Fae when her phone started buzzing. Assuming it was he, but probably on his roommate’s phone, she answered, a firey temper awaiting the caller.
A deep voice spoke, “Hello Sarah…” Her fury unleashed.
“REALLY Jareth! Six calls!? Three texts!? AND NOW YOU’RE CALLING ON YOUR FLAT MATE’S PHONE!? My God, I go out for one blasted bloody night, and you go -” She was interrupted by her name repeatedly stated, as though the caller, who’s voice seemed far more familiar now, was trying to get her settle a moment. A horrid red flush ran a marathon up her face, and her free hand covered her eyes as she realized she’d been mistaken as to the caller. “Oh good Lord; Jeremy, is that you???” The last thing she wanted was Jeremy thinking she’d lost her damn mind.
